Western Washington University – Classroom Upgrades

Since 2006, K Engineers has been involved with the renovation of more than 75 classrooms and lab spaces for Western Washington University. Upgrades include new audio-video systems, lighting and power upgrades, communications system upgrades and modifications to the fire detection and alarm systems.

Skagit Valley College – Lewis Hall

In collaboration with Schreiber, Starling and Lane Architects, this new 65,000 square foot facilty is a centerpiece of Skagit Valley College campus.  The project includes classrooms, conference rooms, computer testing labs, offices, campus cashier, counseling center and admissions office.  A 15kW photovoltaic system on the roof was designed by K Engineers to offset the power usage …

Skagit Valley College – Laura Angst Hall

Completed in 2009 in cooperation with Schreiber, Starling and Lane Architects, the 66,000 square foot facility included teaching science labs, classrooms and office space for physical science, environmental science, nursing and medical assistant training programs.  The project achieved a LEED Platinum rating and included a 30kW photovoltaic power generation system and an environmentally controlled greenhouse.

Seattle Central Community College – Wood Construction Center

Completed in 2012, in cooperation with Schreiber, Starling & Lane Architects, this 62,000 square foot facility included offices, classrooms, woodworking and boatbuilding shops and dust collection systems.  The project achieved a LEED Silver certification.
